November 2021

Nov 2021

This month’s speaker, Susan Wegener, LCSW, Clinical Social Work Therapist MSSW, LCSW, will be speaking about depression during the holidays. The National MS Society, has found a high number of people with Multiple Sclerosis suffer with mental health issues. The fact is there are a high number of suicides committed during the holidays. Add to that fact that many have Covid-19 and those that are quarantining are having mental health problems, according to news reports. Also there will be many families with an empty chair due to members passing from the pandemic.

I need your feedback concerning the following items:

I’m considering putting an ATOMS Walk MS team together for Walk MS OKC next year, May 7th. Would you be interested in joining?

At the Walk MS OKC next year if we can get a booth, would you be interested in volunteering to help out?
