Welcome to the New Year!  We will be kicking off the year with Therapetics of Tulsa joining us this month.  Besides being great companions to keep us company, animals have amazing abilities to make people’s lives easier.  Pets can be trained to assist a person in so many ways such as helping to maintain balance when walking, opening/closing doors, retrieving items and many other tasks.  Certified companies can work with each person and companion animal to meet your specific need.

Info

Oklahoma State Action Day at the capitol will be Feb 10th and we encourage people to sign up and join us as we go visit with our elected legislators and put a face and life with MS to those who represent us.  We will be asking them to support 2 priority bills that impact people living with MS, one to create a state tax credit for home modifications and another to protect access to medications during an insurance appeal process.  We will have a morning meeting to arm you with all the materials you need, transport to the capitol to make your visits, lunch provided and transportation back to your vehicle.  Please register by contacting claire.mitchell@nmss.org or calling her at 512-340-2711.
