Handi-cap Aids has agreed to visit with our group this month and bring a vehicle with some adaptive driving options. There are a lot of options available that can make driving both easier and safer.
Don’t forget to register or start a team for our May 3rd MS Walk. (More Info) As of March 10th we only had 178 people registered which can make it a real challenge for the walk committee to plan the event. We need to have good numbers so that we can make sure we have water, drinks, food and most important, port-a-potty’s. Even if you don’t start your fundraising until later please sign up. For each dollar raised, 78 cents is spent on community programs, MS Research, National Activities, Professional and public education, as well as training programs and services. If you want to avoid the lines at registration you can turn in your donations on April 29th from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM or 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the NMSS Office at 730 West Wilshire Blvd, Suite 103. With a minimum of $100 raised you can also pick up your event t-shirt.
March 26th is our Day at the Capital. You can register on line. A training session will start at 8:00 AM at the Oklahoma Historical Society and then we will proceed to the Capital to visit with our legislators. (More Info)
